Intel does not currently plan to develop and offer Windows 7 drivers for any do965lt the discontinued desktop boards listed below. It looks like your board is too old for Windows 7 support. Since you’re getting partial sound I wonder if something else is clobbered though; I have no experience with Windows 7 but in older versions D9p65lt had problems where a bad sound driver install messes things up to the point that even a correct driver installed afterwards doesn’t work properly.

Thu Dec 17, 2: Have you tried the XP drivers in compatability mode? How do you tell if it’s somehow got EFI strings setup for the audio, though? In sound properties it defined as “External microphone”.
